The Delhi government on Wednesday thrashed the Centre for claiming that no one died due to oxygen shortage during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Coming down heavily on the Centre, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday said many people died due to the oxygen shortage during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had said that the Delhi government had formed a panel of medical experts to look into the deaths that reportedly occurred due to oxygen shortage, news agency PTI reported on 4 June.

Government of India has supported the states and undertook a series of actions, including provisioning medical oxygen, and other consumables to ensure clinical care of Covid-19 patients in view of steep rise of Covid-19 trajectory in the country during April-May 2021.
