Actually, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced on Friday that the government has decided to merge 10 banks to form 4 banks. He informed that United Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce will merge with Punjab National Bank. Syndicate Bank will be merged with Canara Bank. Similarly, Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank will be merged with Union Bank. While Allahabad Bank will be merged with Indian Bank.

After this merger process, 6 out of 10 government banks will end and their customers will be transferred to other banks. We tell you that in the next 6 months the names of which banks of the merger will end. United Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce will merge with Punjab National Bank. After which the name United Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce Bank will end. The accounts of the customers of these two banks will be transferred to Punjab National Bank.

Similarly, Syndicate Bank customers’ account will be shifted to Canara Bank, while Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank customers will get their accounts transferred to Union Bank. Apart from this, Allahabad Bank account holders will be transferred to Indian Bank.
