After a stormy  day one proceedings, the Parliament is set to reconvene for the second day today.  The ‘Pegasus Project’ row is expected to dominate both Houses of the Parliament today with many members having submitted adjournment notices to discuss the issue. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is also scheduled to make a statement in Rajya Sabha on the report.

Rajya Sabha proceedings resumed after being adjourned twice during the pre-lunch period today after uproar by Opposition members over various issues including the Pegasus snooping row. The House was first adjourned for a few minutes after it met in the morning and then again soon after it met at 12 PM. Members of the Congress, TMC, left parties rushed to the well as the House reassembled at 12 and started raising slogans. They were also carrying placards with them.

Since the pandemic began, three sessions of Parliament were curtailed while the winter session last year had to be cancelled. The monsoon session, which usually starts in July, had begun in September last year due to the raging pandemic
