Poland on Thursday issued a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The Indian Embassy in Poland tweeted, ‘The Polish Post (Pokज़ta Polska) issued a commemorative postage stamp on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, which was released on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.’

This historic day was also remembered in countries like France, Uzbekistan and Turkey. Earlier, on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Russia has issued a special stamp. This ticket was launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin on 4 September in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
