UPSC: Engineering Service Exam notification released
UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2020: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) was waiting for the notification of the Engineering Service Examination 2020. Now their wait is over. The notification has been released on the official website upsconline.nic.in. Let us tell you, according to the notification, the last date to apply for these posts is 15 October 2019. After that the application of any candidate will not be accepted.
UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2020: Step by step here- How to apply
Step 1- First go to the official website upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2- Click on ‘Online application form for various examination’.
Step 3- A new page will open in front of you. In front of which will be written “Engineering Services (Preliminary / Stage I) Examination”.
Step 4- Now upload your requested documents. After which click on “agree button”.
Step 5- After all the processing, now fill the fees. Remember that fees will be paid through online mode only.
Step 6- Now finally click on “submit button”. You can keep a printout of the form or download it for future security.

Last date to apply – 15 October 2019
When will the exam- The examination will be held on 5 January.
How to pay fees offline
To pay the cash in fee, the candidate should take a printout of the challan received online after completing the application. 24 hours after receiving the challan, candidates can visit the nearest branch of State Bank of India and collect the fees. “Cash payment” option will be deactivated on 23.59 hours of 14-10-2019. However, applicants who have received the challan before the challan becomes inactive, can make payment at the SBI branch counter during banking time on the last date of application. .
Candidates who are exempted from paying the fee can leave serial number 14 to 16.
Remember these things
Candidates should note that it is not allowed to change it after submission of online application. If you want to make any changes, then you can submit a new application before the last date i.e. 15-10-2019 (6:00 pm) for the receipt of the application. That is, you have to fill a new form. In which all information has to be filled from the beginning. The earlier application will be canceled.
Who can apply
The examination is conducted for selection of services / posts under Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecom Engineering. To apply for this post, candidates should be between 21 to 30 years old. Candidates pursuing engineering degree who have passed Section A and B of Institutional Examinations of Institution of Engineers (India) are also eligible to apply.
How to get exam center
As per the notification issued by UPSC, the number of candidates allotted in each examination center will be limited except Chennai, Delhi (for GEOL), Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. Allocation of centers will be done on the basis of ‘first application – first allotment’. I.e. “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED”. At the same time, it will be stopped if the prescribed seats of the center are filled. Applicants are advised in this way, they should apply as soon as possible so that they can take the examination center of their choice.
